Postcards to Myself - Berlin, Germany, 1990
The best thing about moving back to Europe is that we get to visit the family in Germany at least twice a year. After spending two weeks at Oma, Opa and Tante Edde’s house in Aalen, we drove up to see mom’s friends in Berlin. We all watched the fall of the Berlin Wall live on T.V last year and mom was so happy she cried! As we drove through what used to be East Germany, you can still see bullet holes on the side of many buildings. The effects of the war is still visible. I love Berlin though. It’s such a cool city. I even got a piece of the Berlin Wall!
