Postcards to Myself - Bali, 1987
After leaving Singapore, we spent a day in Jakarta. It’s a very dirty city. While we were driving in the taxi, I saw a bunch of people taking a shit on the sidewalk. I couldn’t believe my eyes! It was so gross! We are now on the beautiful island of Bali. On the flight over, I saw several volcanoes in action! We also flew over the island where they filmed ‘The Blue Lagoon’. We have a beautiful bungalow right on the beach with a front porch where we have breakfast every morning. The water is perfect. I love the Balinese dances and the smell of their flowers. We also drove to Kuta one day, it’s famous for surfing and there are many rice terraces on the island too.
