“I am still waiting for the sentence; it’s been over two month now. The sentencing is in hope that I could get him to pay me retroactive alimony. I get 299 euros per month on disability, thanks to my social worker, which doesn’t even cover rent. I worked in a cork factory for many years before I started working for him in our supermarket. I worked for him for 7 years: in those 7 years he never paid my Social Security contributions and never even registered me as self-employed…So, now after working all those years, I’m denied my retirement and pension”.
