Emma (Artist) & Owen (Independent Film Maker): Owen: “Emma and I have known each other for almost nine years now. We got married last September. We had a big Gothic wedding in a castle and the entire guests wore black. This is actually half my wedding outfit right here! I’m an independent film maker. I make art-house films, but I make most of my living as a director and editor on other peoples’ films. I always dress this way. It wasn’t a conscious move.” Emma: “I started to feel like I was different from all the other kids when I was about six or seven. That’s when I started wearing black. I’m an artist, mainly a portrait artist. I work in oils on canvas. I’m very traditional in that way. I do a lot of self portraits. Besides being a full time artist, I am also a chicken keeper. Linda ‘the Gothic Chicken’ is our house chicken. She sleeps in my bed and goes on holiday with us. We are inseperable!”
